Dr. Fernanda Bombaldi holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is a co-founder of StemMed, specializing in biotechnology and advanced therapies. As a scientific project manager, she brings extensive expertise in biomaterials, regenerative medicine, and science education. Dr. Fernanda focuses on translational research and the development of stem cell–based products, bridging cutting-edge science with innovation. She is committed to education through mentoring, teaching, and designing training programs that connect biotechnology with future generations of scientists. Recently, she has expanded her work into space life sciences, exploring stem cell secretome behavior in microgravity and coordinating student experiments for potential spaceflight. Within the International Journey Spaceflight Experiments Program, she serves as a mentor and scientific advisor, guiding students in developing experiments aligned with real spaceflight standards, inspiring critical thinking and scientific discovery, and encouraging the next generation to explore the frontiers of space.
